Evelyn & Travis’s wedding day was a beautiful example of that flexibility, with a rainy forecast leading to an entirely indoor ceremony and unexpectedly dreamy portraits in the rain.
Getting Ready in the Bridal Suite + Chapel Details
The day began in the beautiful bridal suite at The Barn & Bin, which offered the perfect soft, natural light for getting ready moments and detail photos.
One of my favorite parts of this space is how much beautiful natural light comes in to help capture-

The venue’s chapel also played a meaningful role early in the day. The bride’s dress was elegantly hung outside the chapel space, creating a stunning, minimal detail moment that photographed beautifully in the natural light. Flat lay details were captured in receptial space in the barn by large double doors offering more beautiful natural light coming in.

First Look in the Chapel at The Barn & Bin
One of the most emotional parts of the day took place inside the chapel at The Barn & Bin, where the couple shared their first look.
The chapel’s intimate design made the moment feel private, quiet, and deeply personal. With soft light and simple architecture, it created the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt exchange before the ceremony.
This space is ideal for couples who want a first look that feels intentional and away from distractions, allowing them to fully take in the moment together.

Bride & Groom Portraits Outside the Chapel — Right Before the Storm
About five minutes into the bride and groom portrait session, golf-ball-sized hail suddenly started falling as one of the most intense storms rolled in. Mississippi spring weather is famously unpredictable, and this day was a perfect example of that. We did get some beautiful portraits though, Evelyn & Travis were easily captured and comfortably posed (partly because I have done so much work with these two prior to their wedding day, which made working with them effortless!)
So… We took a few portraits inside. Bridal suite put to great use, yet again :)
Rainy Day Ceremony Inside The Barn
Although the original plan was an outdoor ceremony, rain moved the celebration inside—and it could not have been more beautiful.
The indoor ceremony space at The Barn & Bin is warm, intimate, and naturally romantic. The shift indoors created a cozy atmosphere that made the ceremony feel even more meaningful and focused on the couple.
The rain ultimately added to the story of the day rather than taking away from it.

One of the most unforgettable parts of the day came after the ceremony, when we stepped outside for bride & groom portraits in the rain.
Instead of waiting for perfect weather, we embraced it—and it paid off with some of the most cinematic, romantic images of the entire day.
Reception Inside The Barn & Bin
The celebration continued inside the barn for the reception, where warm lighting and rustic-modern design created the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable evening.
As guests gathered inside, the space felt inviting, energetic, and full of emotion. The reception was filled with meaningful moments including:
