This Oxford, Mississippi engagement session was the perfect combination of both.
From the historic halls of the University of Mississippi to the restaurant where they work together and will soon celebrate their wedding day, every stop held special meaning. We finished the evening surrounded by the natural beauty of Rowan Oak, creating a gallery that felt uniquely personal from beginning to end.
This engagement session features Julianna and Bruno, currently resided in Oxford and where their love story unfolded.
Timeless Architecture at Bryant Hall & The Lyceum

We began the session inside Bryant Hall and The Lyceum, two of the most recognizable landmarks on the Ole Miss campus.
The elegant architecture, historic character, and timeless atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for engagement portraits that feel both classic and romantic. Walking through the halls together, these two were completely at ease—sharing quiet moments, laughter, and the kind of connection that makes photographing a couple effortless.
The University of Mississippi campus offers some of the most iconic engagement photo locations in Oxford, and these historic buildings never disappoint.
A Stop at Their Future Wedding Venue: Miscellanea
After exploring campus, we headed downtown to one of the most meaningful locations of the entire session: Miscellanea Spirit House.
Located just off Oxford's historic Square, Miscellanea blends an intimate dining experience with beautifully curated interiors, making it one of Oxford's newest gathering places. The restaurant and cocktail lounge has quickly become a unique addition to the city's food scene.
What made this location especially meaningful wasn't just its atmosphere—it was their connection to it.
They both work at Miscellanea, and in just a short time, it has become such an important part of their story that they've chosen it as the place where they'll celebrate their wedding day. Photographing them in the space where they spend so much of their time together added a personal layer to the session that simply can't be replicated.
Years from now, these photographs will remind them not only of their engagement season but also of the place where so many memories were made before they said "I do."
Golden Hour Photo Session at Rowan Oak
To finish the session, we made our way to Rowan Oak, one of Oxford's most beloved historic landmarks and the former home of William Faulkner. The property is known for its beautiful grounds, towering trees, and peaceful walking paths.
As the evening light filtered through the trees, Rowan Oak provided the perfect setting for romantic, relaxed portraits. The natural scenery offered a beautiful contrast to the architecture and interiors from earlier in the session while tying the entire gallery together.
